Crazy Heart is a phenomenal movie and has excellent acting. This film is about a drunken, washed-up country music legend Bad Blake (Jeff Bridges) who plays in small town bowling alleys trying to earn every penny he can get. Then one day he gets a big break when a famous country artist Wayne (Robert Duvall), who learned everything from Bad Blake, ask him to open one of his concerts.
This movie will mess with your emotions a lot. At one moment everything will be happy then all of a sudden everything will start to go down hill. For instance theirs one scene in the film where the main character Jeff Bridges, who plays Bad Blake, just got done talking to his girlfriend about how good his concert went and how happy he is, then 2 minutes later he gets into a serious car accident. This is just one of many twist that the director Scott Cooper will throw at you.
The music in the movie was great, It shocked me to see how good of a singer Jeff Bridges was. Im a huge country fan, especially of the older country and when I listen to Bridge’s sing it sounds like I’m listening to a Waylon Jennings album. Not only am I going to buy the movie when it comes out, but I am also going to buy the soundtrack.
I recommend everybody to see Crazy Heart and I give it a 10 out of 10. Even if you don’t like country music i still ask you to see it because there is so much more to this movie than just music.
