Im very impressed by the actors in this film, not only is Robert Downy Jr. a great actor, but they also included Mickey Rourke who just won an Oscar for his role in The Wrestler. This was a gutsy move to star both of these actors in the same film because they are the only two actors in Hollywood that are uninsurable for films. So I give props to have enough guts to star both of these actors. 

I wasn’t a fan of the CGI in the movie. It was very blurry at times and at moments it looked fake. The first Iron Man did a great job with the CGi so I am confused on why this one didn’t turn out as good. Im also wondering on why Iron Man 2 ignored the 3D effect. I think it would have made much more money if they would have released it in 3D. The only thing i can come up with is maybe they started making the sequel before 3D got big. But all in all this was a great movie, I highly recommend any Iron Man fan see it.

I came into this movie thinking it was going to be another bad remake of a classic horror film, but the new Nightmare on Elm Street is probably the scariest Freddy Kruger movie yet, and there are a lot of them. When I first saw the previews I thought it was going to be stupid because it wasn’t even the same Freddy, I’m still not over the fact that it’s not the same Freddy. 

The filmmakers use of computer generated effects doesn’t help much, and makes a few of the scenes that should be scary look silly. At moments you would find yourself laughing historically at a scene where somebody is getting cut to death. For instance there was one scene where Freddy is trying to kill this girl in her sleep and he started spinning her in mid-air while he was thrashing her to death. I found this disturbing in many ways. 

The use of punch lines in this film was way over used. Every time Freddy would kill somebody he would say a punch line that would make you laugh, it was like watching a gory stand up comedy. If I was a fan of the old Kruger movies I would be very upset about this movie. And don’t even get me started on the acting; I’ve seen better acting on soap operas. 

I would not recommend the new Nightmare on Elm Street to anybody, yes there were a few jumpy parts, but if you’re looking for a good scary movie then this is definitely not it. I was laughing more than I was jumping. Please stop making remakes of classic horror films. There are enough Freddy movies already.

Brothers has an impressive cast including Toby Maguire, Jake Gyllenhall, and Natalie Portman. This really drew me in because ive always thought that Toby and Jake look-alike so they really did a good job as casting them as brothers. This film wouldn’t draw much younger people or teens to see it because it’s more of an adult movie, but with the cast that they had it probably drew a lot more people to it. I most likely would not have seen it if it didn’t the cast that it has.

This movie gives off many different emotions, but mostly depressing. I got very depressed through the film just because of the plot and all the trouble each character had to go through. I thought it was going to end happy like most movies, but it just kept getting more and more depressing. If your not a fan of films like this then i highly recommend you do not see it, it will leave you thinking to yourself “what the hell just happened”. Thats how I still feel after watching it a couple weeks ago.

Not only is this movie weird and twisted in so many ways, but the camera angles and movement were HORRIBLE. During the action scenes you couldn’t even tell what was going on, they would switch to a different angle and camera every half a second, its like you’re trying to watch a movie on a rollercoaster. The only thing this is good for is giving you headaches.

On top of all this the music in this film was even worst. Action movies are supposed to have exciting pump-up music, but all i heard was depressing slow songs that put me to sleep. For instance, when the final battle is about to happen between good vs. evil towards the end of the movie, the bad guy starts to sing a happy kids song, It was like watching an R rated episode of Barney.

Don’t even consider seeing this movie, unless you like sick twisted movies then go for it, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.

There are seven strangers that Ben Thomas is watching over very closly to through the film.  You dont know why he is watching these people, but you feel bad for all of them. For instance, there is one stranger who Ben Thomas talks to in the beginning that is a blind telemarketer who is played by one of my favorite actors Woody Harrelson. Ben Thomas is talking to him because he is unhappy about the package that he got from the company that Woody Harrelson works at. Ben Thomas finds out that he’s blind and starts making fun of him to the point that you think he is going to kill himself. I’ve never been so mad at a start of the film than this one.

I recommend Seven Pounds to everybody. If your ever in the mood for a depressing inspirational movie then there is none better than this one. You will be an emotional reck at the end of the film, but it will very much be worth it.

Each character in this movie has their own weird personality. Woody Harrelson, who plays Tallahassee, loves going around and seeing how brutally he can kill zombies. Jesse Eisenberg (Columbus) has rules that are revealed and referenced throughout the movie. For instance his first 5 rules are, 1.Cardio, 2.Double Tap, 3.Beware of bathrooms, 4.Always where seatbelts, and 5.Travel light. Emma Stone (Wichita) acts like she’s an extreme badass though the whole movie trying to protect her little sister. This just doesn’t work because she’s to hot to think that she’s a badass. Abigail Breslin (Little Rock) who is Wichita’s little sister also try’s to be a badass along side with her sister, but all she wants is to go to Pacific Playland and act like a kid again.

I would definitely recommend this movie for everybody to see, it has everything you can ask for in a movie. Comedy, action, horror, and love. I wish more movies were like Zombieland.

            The soundtrack in Valentines Day is probably another reason its doing good and the fact that it also stars Taylor Swift. This was Taylor Swift’s first movie and probably her last because she cannot act, she needs to stick with music and that’s it. The soundtrack had many big name artists to go along with all the big name actors. It must have cost a fortune to make.

            The only way I would recommend this movie to anybody is if you were in the mood to see a cheesy love story with your girlfriend or wife. And also if you wanted to make a first date as awkward as possible then go see this. I unfortunately went and saw this with a group of people and most were girls so for the rest of the night it was very awkward. I would give Valentines day a 2 out of 5 at best and if you wanted to see it then wait tell it comes out on video because it is not worth the money to go see it in theaters.

This movie will mess with your emotions a lot. At one moment everything will be happy then all of a sudden everything will start to go down hill. For instance theirs one scene in the film where the main character Jeff Bridges, who plays Bad Blake, just got done talking to his girlfriend about how good his concert went and how happy he is, then 2 minutes later he gets into a serious car accident. This is just one of many twist that the director Scott Cooper will throw at you.

The music in the movie was great, It shocked me to see how good of a singer Jeff Bridges was. Im a huge country fan, especially of the older country and when I listen to Bridge’s sing it sounds like I’m listening to a Waylon Jennings album. Not only am I going to buy the movie when it comes out, but I am also going to buy the soundtrack. 

I recommend everybody to see Crazy Heart and I give it a 10 out of 10. Even if you don’t like country music i still ask you to see it because there is so much more to this movie than just music.
